Head Coach

Coach Berry lives in Dunwoody with his wife Christie, and their two sons, Nolan and Wyatt. Raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Coach Berry was an accomplished athlete in high school, lettering in golf all four years.  Coach Berry has been around baseball his entire life, either playing, coaching, umpiring or serving as a batboy for two years for the Jacksonville Suns minor league baseball team (now the Jumbo Shrimp). Coach Berry has a distinguished career serving his community- coaching multiple sports, including baseball, and teaching at Dunwoody High School:

  • 2022 Dunwoody Softball finished 3rdin the Region.
  • 2020 Dunwoody High’s Star recipient
  • 2019 Dunwoody High Teacher of the Year
  • 2019 Dekalb County Region 1 Teacher of the Year
  • 2003-2010 Dunwoody Track/Cross Country, 2- State Top 10 finishes
  • 2009 Dunwoody Cross Country Regional championship and finished 5thin the State
  • 2009 Dunwoody High Track Region Champions

Roger Gay
Assistant Coach

Coach Roger Gay is in his 40th year teaching or coaching at Dunwoody High! Coach Gay brings a wealth of experience into the 2024 season as he has coached multiple sports to include:  football, wrestling, tennis, volleyball and, of course, baseball. Coach Gay is married to his wife, Gina, who is a DHS Class of 1985 graduate. Coach Gay has a daughter, Ashley, 24 and a son, Connor, 20 years of age. Coach Gay’s DHS Baseball experience includes:


  • 1984-87, 2022-23 Dunwoody High JV Baseball Coach
  • 2022 and 2023 Dunwoody High Randy Case Dekalb County JV Champions
  • 2012-2015 GA Roadrunners Assistant Coach
