Kyle Smith
Varsity Head Coach

 

Coach Kyle Smith comes to Dunwoody from Lambert High School, where he was a player on Lambert’s 2014 State and National Championship baseball team. Coach Smith coached at Lambert from 2018-2023 under State Champion and future Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame coaches Rick Howard and David Smart. At Lambert, Coach Smith also coached basketball under Coach Scott Bracco (2x state champion at DHS) and 2023 Region 6-7A Coach of the Year, Clay Wages. For Five years, Coach Smith also coached travel baseball with Coach Tom Bass, who led the Dunwoody program for eighteen years and brought the DHS Wildcats a State Championship in 2007, while receiving a national rank of 18th in the country. 

Coach Smith and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for four years. They welcomed a baby girl, Kinsley, this past September. He graduated with a degree in Special Education from Georgia College. He and his wife are both Special Education teachers and love working with students to reach their goals while building relationships.  When not coaching baseball, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, golfing, going to the movies and reading. Coach Smith is looking forward to kicking off the 2023-2024 season.

Bill Cefaratti
Varsity Assistant Coach – Strength & Conditioning Coordinator, Hitting Coach

Varsity Assistant Coach – Strength & Conditioning Coordinator, Hitting Coach

Coach Bill Cefaratti, originally from Syracuse, New York, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health from Slippery Rock University, with a minor in Coaching. Coach Cefaratti has coached at multiple levels in Georgia for thirteen years, to include football, basketball and baseball at all levels at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, Deerfield Windsor School in Albany, GA, and Eagles Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, GA. Coach Cefaratti was the Head Baseball Coach for two years at Deerfield Windsor School.

Coach Cefaratti coached the DSB Diablos from 2011-2017 and has been a hitting instructor for all thirteen years he has coached.  He and his wife, Nikki, have been married for six years and have three children, Anton, Isabella, and Enzo. There is no one more intense than Coach Cef- players will get better with him coaching.

Demarcus Adams-England
Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Adams-England earned a promotion to Varsity Assistant for the 2024 season after leading Dunwoody’s Junior Varsity for seven years, culminating with two straight Dekalb County Championships in 2022 and 2023.

 

In 2014, Coach England earned a Bachelor’s degree from Voorhees University where he was a standout baseball player, earning All-Conference honors his senior year. Coach England has two children and is expecting his third, a boy, in December 2023. In his spare time, Coach England LOVES to help the disabled get better and to inspire others. Coach England is often heard saying, “Let’s get it! Nobody better!”

 

Wes Bancroft
Varsity Assistant Coach – Pitching

Coach Wes Bancroft returns to his alma mater for the 2024 season after coaching the Peachtree Middle School Team for the past 4 years. Coach Bancroft graduated from DHS, where he pitched and played third base. In 2010 and 2011 he led Dekalb county in Wins and led the county with a 1.37 ERA in 2011. He is still in the top 10 in Dekalb County all-time for fewest career walks. During his varsity career, he helped the wildcats to a 67- 25 record, which ended with an Elite 8 appearance (after defeating Coach Smith and Lambert High School).

In 2013, Coach Bancroft walked onto the Kennesaw State Baseball team as a relief pitcher. That year the Owls made a Super Regional appearance and finished 13th in the nation. During his time at KSU he studied Psychology and Sports Psychology. He had an apprenticeship working with the Sport Psychologist for the USNWT. Coach Bancroft was also an advisor for an organization called the Golden Soldiers. He coordinated sports clinics between KSU teams and children with special needs. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2016 and his master’s degree in Positive Psychology in 2022.

Jonathan Langley
Varsity Assistant Coach – Catching

Coach Johnathan Langley returns to Dunwoody for the 2024 season, coming from Mercer University where he was a volunteer assistant during the 2023 season.  In 2022, Coach Langley was an assistant coach at Dunwoody helping Dunwoody to Region 7-7A Championship.

In 2014, Coach Langley graduated from DHS where he played baseball as a catcher and first baseman. Coach Langley then attended Georgia Tech, where he started a unique path as a bullpen catcher for the Yellow Jackets from 2015-2018, assisting in the development of Georgia Tech’s pitching staff. Coach Langley was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board and participated in numerous NCAA and community outreach functions for the Yellow Jackets, including being part of Georgia Tech’s first ever, “Jackets Without Borders” trip to Costa Rica in 2017. In 2018, Coach Langley graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Upon graduation, Coach Langley was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers organization as a bullpen catcher in 2018-2020. Highlights for coach Langley include being part of the 2020 World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers as well as catching during the Home Run Derby as part of the 2019 All-Star Game.
